Before we begin I want to take this time to remember the late great Bobby The Brain Heenan. Bobby was one of, if not greatest manager/commentator this industry has ever seen. The Wrestlemania VIII broadcast with Bobby Heenan and Gorilla Monsoon was some of the best sports entertainment broadcasting you will ever see. With that being said, here are the No Mercy predictions. Enjoy all you humanoids!
Let’s start with the women’s fatal five-way match. Five feet of fury Miss.Alexa Bliss will defend her title against Nia Jax, Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Emma. Why Emma is in this match, I don’t know. Alexa Bliss by far is the strongest female wrestler on the Raw brand. I see Bliss winning this with a pin over Nia Jax. Look for the friendship between Bayley and Sasha to start to deteriorate. Nia doesn’t have the tools to be champion just yet. I see Emma taking the biggest bumps. Look for Auska to challenge Bliss next.
Ambrose and Rollins will defend their titles versus Sheamus and Cesaro. I’m not into this match, reason being is that we have 4 legit stars and they are being wasted in a tag match. Look for Ambrose and Seth to retain by pinfall and move on to Gallows and Anderson. This match will end with Ambrose pinning Sheamus.
Finn Balor vs Bray Wyatt, again. I’m a fan of both these superstars, just not in the same match. I think Bray picks up the win here at No Mercy. Look for Bray and Finn to have their rubber match battle at the next PPV to finish up their feud. I suspect the match will be a gimmick just not sure what one. It’s time to move these guys along and especially Finn who ought to be in the title picture.
The Intercontinental title is finally getting some PPV love this Sunday! At No Mercy, the Miz will face off against Kurt Angle’s illegitimate son Jason Jordan. I’m hoping the Miz retains here and keeps his run going. Jason Jordan is a very boring wrestler on the mic. If it was 1987, he would get a pop from the crowd but unfortunately for Jason Jordan, it’s 2017 and the fans now are a lot smarter more now.
It isn’t easy being a vanilla character when the fanbase is so unforgiving and ruthless. Jason Jordan will get a win, but it’ll be in the form of a disqualification. I know the suits at WWE will try and push Jordan down our throats before they finally repackage him. As for the Miz, he is, without doubt, the most unappreciated Raw superstar. The Miz is the best heel today and the realest guy in the room.
John Cena and Roman Reigns will square off in what is definitely a WrestleMania caliber match. The build-up for this program has been superb. Great job by the writers having Roman trade scripted barbs with Cena. We all know Reigns is one of the worst on the mic. This match is hard to predict. Reigns may be Vince’s golden prince but Cena is the king in Vince’s eyes. Look for Reigns to get the win using heel tactics. Keep Cena looking strong and have a reason for an anticipated rematch.

Finally, the Universal Title match between the Monster amongst men Braun Stroman and the Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar. This is another tough one to predict. Stroman has been booked to look unbeatable, but at the same time with the help of Paul Heyman, Brock looks cool calm and collective. This match will be fun to watch.
I’m going to call a last-second audible and call for Strowman to become the new Universal champion. Lesnar can take some time off after this, but if you have Braun Stroman lose what does he do next? That is why I feel you have to give Stroman the title. He looks like a champion and the fans adore him.
This card is considerably smaller than Summerslam. Hopefully, my predictions will be better as well. The two top matches on the card are worth watching alone. For you gamblers out there, apparently, someone hit a 10 match Summerslam parlay and won $41,000 dollars on a $3 bet. Must be nice, enjoy the event!
